Method 1: Bypass FRP ZTE ZMax Pro (Z981) By GSM Flasher Tool
In this FRP Bypass method, we are gonna connect our ZTE Phone to WiFi network. After that, through enabling talkback function, we can access to main (Settings) page. From there, we will enable USB debugging option to connect the device with PC. Afterwards, you can use GSB Flasher tool to Bypass FRP Account. Follow up steps from below.
-Connect “Wi-Fi” in your ZMAX Device first.
-Go back to “Welcome screen”, and long tap with two finger until you get “EXIT and Next” Options bottom of your screen.
-Double tap on “EXIT”.
-Make “L” shape on screen with your finger by swipe down and then swipe right. After that you will be able to see “Google Search Bar” top of your screen.
Going to Suspend Talkback Option:
-Now, press & Hold ” Volume UP + Volume Down” keys together
-Double tap on “OK” from suspend talkback popup screen.
-You will be displayed google search bar at the top of the ZTE device screen, just tap on that search bar, after that, tap on “No Thanks” option.
-Search there “Android”, after that, choose “Android Stock” from the searched result. Go to > Location Permission > Allow.
-After that, you will be redirected on your device home-screen.
Enable Developer Mode & USB Debugging:
-Open up the device main menu, from there, go to “Settings” option.
-After that, go all the way down and tap on “About Phone”.
-Tap 7 times rapidly over the “Build Number” this will show you flash message about (You are now a developer). That means, developer mode has been enabled successfully.
-Let’s get back to main “Settings” page.
-From settings page, just go to “Developer Options”. After that, enable (USB Debugging & OEM Unlocking) options.
Note: Enabling “USB Debugging” is mandatory, otherwise, we won’t be able to Bypass FRP Account on ZTE Z Max Pro Z981 Phone.
Can’t Access to “Developer Option”? Try Alternate Method:-Download & Install below USB Driver on your PC Windows. – ZTE ZMAX PRO USB Driver [DOWNLOAD] -Let’s dial Code from ZTE ZMAX Pro: *983*673636# -After having seen a (Quick Popup) screen, that means, the (Hidden Menu) has been enabled successfully. -Dial another code from your phone: *983*87274# -This code will enable diagnostic Port, this would help your device in connecting to computer. After that, we will be able perform task from GSB Flasher software. Note: If you’re unable to bypass FRP, we would recommend you to try this FRP Bypass Mehtod of ZTE Z982 |
Download & Install GSM Tool on PC Windows:
-GSM FLASHER (203 MB) [DOWNLOAD]
-Turn Off your any active “@ntivirus Software” installed on PC. Otherwise, you may not be able to use this tool.
-Extract and Open “All in ONE Tool”. After that, click over the “GSM FLASHER Bypass Adb Tool”.
Connect ZTE Zmax Pro to Computer:
-Using UBS Cable, connect the FRP locked phone with PC. After that, you will receive a popup window on your device screen, just allow (USB Debugging) option from there.
-Once the device is detected by the tool, the device status will convert (Online) from the tool interface.
-Click on “REMOVE FRP” button. That’s it, you have unlocked frp protection from ZTE ZMAX Pro Device.
Note: If this flasher did not remove frp lock, then open “Miracle 2.27A” tool, and go to “Qualcomm”, and then, click on “Unlock” to unlock frp.
Method 2: Bypass FRP ZTE ZMax Pro Z981 (Without PC)
– Connect “Wi- Fi” in your ZMAX Device first.
– Go back to “Welcome screen”, and long tap with two finger until you get “EXIT and Next” Options bottom of your screen.
– Double tap on “EXIT”.
– Make “L” shape on screen by swiping down and swipe right with your finger on “Welcome Screen”, after that you will be able to see “Google Search Bar” top of your screen.
-Now press & Hold ” Volume UP + Volume Down” keys together to suspend talkback function.
-Double tap on “OK” from suspend talkback popup screen.
– Tap on “Google Search Bar”, after that tap on “NO THANKS”.
– Type “Android” in google search bar.
– Select “Android Stock” from search result, and then tap on “Location Permission”, after that “Allow.
Launch the Lookout App:
-Go to “Menu”, and tap on “Lookout” icon from there.
– Tap on “Get Started”, and then un- check “Enable Security”, and then tap on “Next”.
– Again un- check “Enable Backup”, and then tap on “Next”.
– Un- check “Enable Mobile Threat Network”, and tap on “NEXT”.
– Un- check “Enable Signals Flare”, and tap on “New User”.
– Go back to “MENU” by tapping several times on “Back Key” from ZTE ZMAX Pro device.
Download Test DPC App:
– Tap on “Chrome Icon” to open chrome browser.
– Now tap “Accept & Continue”, and then “No Thanks”.
– Type in google search bar “Google.com” and tap “enter” from your android keyboard.
– Now type there “Techeligible“. After that, go to our website searched result.
-Tap to “Menu” icon from top right corner and go to “Download FRP Tools”.
– Download from there “Test DPC 4.0.5” for FRP Bypass on ZTE Zmax Pro phone.
– Go back to “MENU” by tapping several times on “Back Key”.
Note: If you stuck on “Chrome browser”, just tap on top right corner “Tab” icon same as shown in below image, and close it. After that, open “Settings” on your device.
Enable Unknown Sources & Disable Device Administrator:
-After accessing to main settings page, just go to > Security > Device Administrator > Android Device Manager.
-After that tap on “Deactivate”. (Make sure Android Device Manager has successfully been un-checked).
-Get back to main (Settings) page. After that, go to > Security > Turn on (Unknown Sources) option.
Install Test DPC & Open it:
-We are gonna install our recently downloaded (Test DPC App), for that, just go back to “Menu” screen.
-After that, open “File Manager” app. Tap to “Download” option. There, you will be able to see your downloaded app.
-Let’s hit on “Test DPC” application to start the installation process. Tap to > Install > Open.
Note: If you are unable to install “Test DPC”, don’t worry, look at below installation method.
Unable to Install Test DPC? Don’t Worry; Follow up below steps:– Go to “Settings > Security > Deactivate Administrators > Make sure it is deactivate. – Go back to “Settings > Google > Security > Turn off “Important Harmful App Detection + Scan Device for Security Threats. – Now again go back to “Settings > Apps > File Manager > Storage > Clear Data > FORCE STOP. – Now go back to “APPS” > Lookout > Disable. – From “Apps”, tap on “3 Dots” from the top right corner, after that tap on “Show Systems”. – Now tap on > Package Installer > Storage > Clear Data > FORCE STOP. – From Apps > Package Access Helper > Storage > Clear Data > FORCE STOP. |
-Let’s get back to main (Menu) of your phone. After that, open “File Manager”, and then “Download Folder”. Tap on “Test DPC“. Tap to > Install > Open. (We hope this time, you will be able to install it easily without having any error).
-Now select “Setup Device Owner”, and then tap on “SET UP”.
-Again tap on “SET UP”.
-It will take some time to be setup, and you will be redirected back to “MENU” screen.
Factory Reset ZTE ZMax Pro:
-Get to main Settings page of your device, from there, go to > Backup & Reset > Factory Data Reset > RESET PHONE > ERASE EVERYTHING. This will take a time to completely factory reset your device, and you will lose your all data.
-After that, you can easily finish up your device startup steps without facing the google verification screen again.

My ZTE ZMAX Pro device is not being detected by the PC?
You will have to enable USB Debugging mode on your ZTE phone. Steps to enable adb mode has been mentioned already. Do also install proper ZTE USB Drivers on your PC.

We followed up 2 methods on ZTE ZMAX Pro Z981 phone to bypass frp. In the first FRP method, we enabled talkback function, after that, we enabled USB Debugging option. Downloaded & install (GSM Flasher tool) on PC. After that, we connected our ZTE phone to PC and removed frp account.
In the 2nd frp bypass guide, we enabled talkback and used Lookout application from the device main menu. After that, we launched chrome browser and downloaded (Test DPC App). With the help of this application, we setup device owner and factory reset the FRP locked ZTE Z981 phone from settings.
